FAR's Founder and CEO provided an excellent talk with our Level 5 Travel & Tourism students at the University Centre Middlesbrough.
Outlining his career journey, motivation, and enthusiasm was already enough to inspire the students, but his discussion on FAR and how technology can shape the way we experience events gave a fantastic, forward-looking perspective to the students to consider, both for their assignments and their careers!
Lecturer Adam Howarth said, "In terms of content and theme for the talk, we asked Si if he could share some insight into your career and the industry, such as:
- A typical day in your role
- How you got started in the industry
- Career pathways and opportunities
- Any advice or tips you would give to students looking to enter the sector
Seeing local success stories from Teesside really helps learners think outside the box and look at opportunities they may have never seen or even experienced before."
Si said, "It's always a pleasure to speak to students, as I found it so valuable when I was studying and still remember certain inspirational ones to this day.'
If I can provide similar inspiration to even one student among that group, then it's more than worthwhile."
Si showcased the FAR Spatial Intelligence platform and how its technology serves Travel & Tourism & Live Events, showing recent Pilots/POCs as clear evidence of its usage and, more so, its success.
